Send us your summer snaps for the chance to win a brand new camera!

Whether you’ve been temping in New York, teaching tennis at a camp in Vermont or road-trippin’ with new friends, by sending us a photo of your adventures you could be in with a chance of winning a brand new Canon IXUS-70 digital camera.

Categories and prizes

Photos will be judged in two categories - Work and Travel and the judges are looking for photographs that capture the true essence of your BUNAC experience. You are welcome to submit as many entries to each category as you wish – so why not increase your chances and get snapping!

The winner will receive a Canon IXUS-70 digital camera. There will be two runners-up prizes, one in each category. Each runner-up will be awarded £50 worth of Jessops vouchers.

How to enter

You can submit as many entries as you like by emailing your digital photographs to promo@bunac.org.uk with ‘BUNAC photo competition’ as the subject heading.

Photos need to be supplied as high resolution JPEG files (one per email) and must be no bigger than 4MBs. Each email must contain your full name and contact details, the category you are entering and a brief description of the photo e.g. In Central Park, New York’.

Deadline

The deadline for all entries is Friday 26 September 2008 and the winners will be announced on the BUNAC website on Friday 3 October

Terms and Conditions

By entering this competition you confirm that what you are submitting is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available to BUNAC for the purposes specified. You agree to grant BUNAC a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to publish and otherwise use the material in any way that we want, and in any media worldwide. This may include the transmission of the material to our overseas partners. You still own the copyright to everything you provide to BUNAC.

Those entering the competition will be deemed to have accepted the Terms and Conditions and agree to abide by the Rules of Entry.

Rules of Entry

  1. All entries must be received no later than midday on Friday 26 September 2008.
  2. Entrants may submit as many images of their own work as they wish.
  3. Only digital images may be entered.
  4. Images should be saved as high resolution JPEG files and must not exceed 4MB.
  5. All email entries should be forwarded to: promo@bunac.org.uk.
  6. All entrants should include a brief description of their picture saying where it was taken and what it depicts.
  7. All entries will be judged by a panel of judges nominated by BUNAC.
  8. The judges' decisions will be final. Winning entrants will be notified no later than Friday 3 October 2008.
  9. A list of winning entrants will be made available on www.bunac.org after this date.
  10. The prizes must be taken as stated. No alternatives are available.
  11. If BUNAC is unable to contact any winner or if any prize is not claimed within 28 days of the judges' decision being made then that winner will be deemed to have forfeited their prize and BUNAC reserves the right to present that prize to another entrant selected by the panel of judges.
  12. BUNAC will not enter into any communication or correspondence regarding individual entries.
  13. BUNAC will not be liable for any loss or damage, however caused, to any entries, and bears no responsibility for incomplete or delayed entries.

  14. By submitting the photo/s to BUNAC, each entrant confirms and warrants that:
  1. they have created and own the photograph submitted and that it is their own original work
  2. all copyright, and any other intellectual property rights in the photograph are vested in them
  3. they have not assigned, licensed or disposed of or otherwise encumbered any of their rights in the photograph
  4. they have not infringed the intellectual property rights of any third party in respect of the photograph, and will indemnify BUNAC against any claims made against BUNAC by any third parties in respect of such infringement
  5. they have the permission of those pictured in the photo/s (or, where the photograph features any persons under the age of 18, they have obtained the consent of that child's parent or guardian) for the photo/s to be published and used by the BUNAC as contemplated by these Rules of Entry
