Eligibility

Exclusively, Work New Zealand now offers you a choice of visas; the IEP Work Exchange Visa and the Working Holiday Visa. The IEP Work Exchange Visa is unique to BUNAC and should meet the requirements of most participants.

You can apply for the IEP Work Exchange Visa if you are:

  • aged between 18 and 35 inclusive

    and,
  • a British or Irish passport holder.

This visa is suitable for applicants planning to spend three to twelve months in New Zealand. It is also available to anyone who has already held the Working Holiday Visa.

You can apply for the Working Holiday Visa if you are:

  • aged between 18 and 30 inclusive

    and,
  • a British or Irish passport holder.

This visa is suitable for applicants planning to spend more than twelve months in New Zealand.

Is there anything else that will help me decide? This is a unique visa to BUNAC/IEP. You can only have this visa once in a lifetime, however it will not effect your future eligibility for the Working Holiday Visa (below).

This visa is ideal for school or university vacations, snow trips or a short-term working holiday.

NZ$350 (£140) for each month in NZ = NZ$4200 (£1600) for 12 months

Is there anything else that will help me decide? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. However, if you have already had one of these visas you can still apply for the IEP Work Exchange Visa. If you intend to stay in New Zealand for more than 12 months, you will need to have a medical as part of the visa application process. BUNAC will issue guidelines regarding the medical.
